This pandemic has really forced so many of us to transform and innovate the way we used to do things and Globe is no exception. Recently, during the Globe Innovation Fest, Globe described some of the life-changing innovations that they are introducing to align with the new way that customers also have to deal with life.

Data is Currency

How many times have we enrolled in data promos and some of our unused data just expired? That has happened to me numerous times and I always thought it was such a waste because I paid good money for that entire data capacity and when the promo expired, it felt like money down the drain.

Now, all your unused promo or plan data can be converted via the Globe One app into Globe Rewards points, as follows:

For Prepaid, the conversion is 1GB = 1 Rewards Point

For Postpaid, 1GB = 10 Rewards points

For Home Prepaid WiFi, 3GBs = 3 Rewards

Gigabytes (GBs) may be converted into points at any time within the promo validity or before the plan’s cut-off date. Then, you can already use those Globe Rewards points to do so many things — buy food, buy load, pay bills, and many more. Here’s something I also discovered by accident and (shhhhh, just between us!) here’s another tip. Globe Rewards points also have an expiration date so if some of your points are about to expire, transfer them again to GCash and they will never expire. Each Rewards point is equal to P1; this is a huge deal because it further extends how I can use the converted points under GCash. In the past, I had Globe Rewards points expire on me (sayang!!!) but now, no more! I’m happy that Globe has now covered me from promo GBs to Globe Rewards to GCash!

Globe Postpaid subscribers will soon enjoy these:

  • GPlan with GCash – gives GCash credits which can be spent on anything — content subscriptions, shopping vouchers, or even home essentials.
