While we are all observing home quarantine comfortably in our own homes, there are those who are doing battle for us against COVID-19 — the frontliners. As we all know, many things are sorely lacking. The demand for Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs), face masks, gloves, and even food for the health workers simply outpaces supply.
But you can help!
If you have PayMaya load, there is a very simple way to help the frontliners from your home.
1. Log into your PayMaya app. On the homescreen, click on “Pay Bills“.
2. Look for billers with the #OneAgainstCOVID19 hashtag. These are the institutions that accept donations. Click on the institution of your choice.
3. Write “0000” on Account Number field and type in the amount of your donation. I chose RockEd Philippines in this illustration. RockEd is headed by a friend, Gang Badoy, and has been at the forefront of providing meals and PPEs to frontliners.
4. You will be asked to confirm the details. Once you confirm, you get a confirming message.
Those without a PayMaya account can still make a donation by going to the website donate.paymaya.com – This is the PayMaya website where everyone can send their donations to their preferred organization. Interested donors, even those living abroad can donate through this platform using their credit, debit, or prepaid card. They can also pay using their PayMaya mobile number.
