Brother announces its new mono laser series for business

I’ve been a user of Brother products. For the years I was in the US, working on my MBA degree, my typewriter (a defunct line already due to technology), for all my projects and case studies, was a Brother. At home, we had a Brother telephone/fax machine that served us for many, many years.

Brother has several new lines now, including printers, sewing machines and labelers. The company just launched its latest line of mono lasers (four models in all, two laser printers and two multi-function centres) that promise to bring more features for businesses to improve productivity as well as higher reliability and value for money.

The Brother team told us that this new laser series was the answer to customer feedback they received. This line has several firsts:

* First mono laser range by Brother to print 50 ppm (pages per minute) – for HL-L6400DW and MFC-L6900DW models
* First Brother mono laser series to feature a new heavy duty Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) with an 80-sheet capacity (this is a 60% improvement over their previous series) – only for MFC-L6900DW model
* Maximum input capacity is now 2,650 pages, a 150% improvement – for HL-L6400DW and MFC-L6900DW models
* The dual contact image sensor (CIS) supports  a100 images per minute scanner – only for MFC-L6900DW model

In addition, here are some features that you would want to know about this Brother laser printer line.

Higher Efficiency and Cost Effectiveness

Both the laser printers and MFCs support monthly print cycles of up to 150,000 pages per month (for HL-L6400DW and MFC-L6900DW models) while an ultra high-yield toner (for same models) can last up to 20,000 printed pages.

Superior Productivity and Ease of Use

This line was designed for minimum paper reloading and sorting convenience. The default paper tray for HL-L6400DW and MFC-L6900DW models) can hold up to 520 sheets and optional upgrades of either two additional paper trays or a tower tray provide businesses with a total input capacity of as many as 2,080 sheets.

A 4-bin Mailbox (for the HL-L6400DW model) with stacker and sorter makes it easy to share a printer as bins can be assigned to individual users or groups.

Network Management with BRAdmin Professional Software

This software includes a suite of security solutions to ensure that documents remain confidential. It is also a network management tool that supports remote configurations and the monitoring of useful information such as page count, toner and drum status. Print costs can be more controlled with the option of setting print quotas for users while instant notification of printer downtime lets you attend to the problem quickly.

Customized Workflow Solutions

Recognizing that every business is unique, Brother has developed customized workflow solutions. The Brother Special Solutions Customization (SSC) enables Brother to collaborate with a business on modifying Brother products for specific business needs. The Brother Solutions Interface (BSI), a web-based service platform, aims to improve customers’ productivity and efficiency by allowing software developers to create custom solutions easily.

Print-from-anywhere Convenience

You can print directly from your mobile device because this line is compatible with iPrint&Scan, Apple AirPrint, and Google Cloud Print.
