Facebook introduces new reaction emoticons
Facebook has gone beyond just the LIKE button! The other day, I opened Facebook and saw hearts beside the Like button of a friend’s post. Whoa, what was that?
I quickly found out that Facebook was rolling out 5 new reaction emoticons.

I remember how a Dislike button was being requested for the longest time. People wanted to express more than just a Like for many posts. Many times, I wanted a heart instead of a like so I would use <3 to indicate so. Now, finally, Facebook has realized that as a social platform, reaction emoticons were key to finding out how people felt.
How do you access all these extra reaction emoticons?
Simple. Just hover over the Like button and the rest will just pop out. Tap the reaction button you want and it will show up beside the Like button. Hover the cursor over each of the reaction emoticons and a dropdown menu shows the names of your friends who used them.
Over the next few weeks, we will know how Facebook users take to these new reactions.
How about you? Have you used the new emoticons yet? Do you love them or not? Is Facebook missing any reaction emoticon you wish they’d added? Let me know in the comments below.
