Samsung introduces its new SUHD TVs and audio solutions
In what I can only describe as a “COSMIC” themed event, Samsung introduced to us their extensive range of SUHD TVs at their launch. We’ve already seen the different lines they have from the very first time they introduced their curved TV but this line (with the prefix ‘S’) ups the viewing experience of anyone lucky to be its owner. Apparently, Samsung had reserved the ‘S’ for its most premium, flagship product to signify this leap forward in technology.
See the difference? |
Look at the 2 pictures above. Do you see the difference? Maybe my camera is not that great but while the curved UHD TV below is already vibrantly clear, I could see the curved SUHD TV, beside the UHD TV, was even more vibrant, detailed and colorful. The SUHD TV line features the following that truly spell why it’s now the premier line:
* Eco-friendly Nano-Crystal Technology – This technology transmits different colors of light depending on their size to produce the highest color purity and light efficiency available today. This produces more accurate colors and provides 64 times more color expression than conventional TVs. Its intelligent SUHD re-mastering engine automatically analyzes the images’ brightness to minimize added power consumption while still producing contrast levels, showcasing images with darker blacks as well as an elevated level of brightness that is 2.5 times brighter than conventional TVs.
* Curved design features – The SUHD line features a chamfer bezel design that adds more depth to the screen. The frame makes the display look more like a piece of art than an entertainment system.
* Omni-directional 360 Audio – WAM 7500/6500 speakers, developed in Samsung’s new state-of-the-art Audio Lab in California, are built into Samsung’s SUHD TVs. The proprietary ring radio technology allows sound to flow in 360 degree radius providing a rich sound. This is different from conventional speakers that only project sound in a uni-direction. The speakers are Plug and Play so users simply connect the speaker to a router and plug it in.
* Curved Soundbar – Sensurround sound happens because the soundbar follows the curve of the screen. It readily complements curved TVs from 48 to 78 inches.

With its patented Multi-Air gap speaker unit in its subwoofer, the Soundbar gives deeper bass and streams music through its multiroom functionality. It also has a wireless connection to the TV through TV SoundConnect via bluetooth.
The Samsung SUHD TVs come in the following sizes: 48″, 50″, 55″, 65″, and 78″.
