Samsung Galaxy Note II: the choice of Filipina beauties

Guess who are the 2 Filipina beauty queens who picked the Samsung Galaxy Note II as their mobile phone of choice?

That’s Shamcey Supsup on the left (in red), Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up and Venus Raj on the right, Miss Universe 2010 fourth runner-up.

I have the original Galaxy Note and am quite pleased with its huge screen which allows me to do my offline reading without my eyes suffering. But I’ve been eyeing the Galaxy Note II to see what new features it has that I could incorporate into the social media work I do.

Let’s see which features both beauty queens like:

Shamcey’s favorite feature is the Multi-Window, which allows 2 windows to open simultaneously on the screen letting you multitask on the go. I know this feature because I have it on my Samsung Galaxy S III and it is quite useful when I need to ping-pong from one application to the other without opening-closing apps as one would need to do without the feature.

For Venus, she loves the Galaxy Note II’s 8-megapixel rear-facing and 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera with HD video recording. Combined with that, she also loves its Best Face feature which lets you choose the nicest face of each person from a group portrait photo.

The Galaxy Note II has the S pen just like its older brother, the Galaxy Note. And both beauty queens use the Quick Command feature which calls up a command pad when the S pen button is pressed and swiped upward on the screen. By drawing pre-registered marks on the command pad, one can easily tweet or update one’s status.

Coming soon also on the Samsung Galaxy Note II and the Samsung Galaxy S III (which I have!) is the Samsung TecTiles, an NFC-enabled sticker tag. With this feature, one can automate everyday functions with a simple tap on the TecTile. Once programmed, just tap on a tile and you can send a standard text message, set an alarm or even silence your smartphone. This one excites me!
