modu: Launching Soon in the Philippines!
In the Philippine world of mobile phones, this name may not yet be known. But not for long. Globe Telecom has announced that very soon, it will introduce modu into the local market. Yes, the good news is that the Philippines is among the first countries to launch this mobile phone.
modu is the world’s lightest, fully functional, customizable and modular mobile phone, weighing in at only 1.5 oz., and yet has a music player, mass storage device and 2GB memory.
What mobile users will see different with modu, compared to existing mobile phone features, is its incredible potential for personalization through interchangeable modu jackets which can change the look and feel of the phone — from fashionable to rugged to techie and more. With just one modu handset and several jackets, you could have a phone that looks different each day of the week.
Globe has not released the launch date yet nor modu’s pricing/plans but as soon as that’s out, I will update this post.
